Policies Quick quote terms and conditionsRead before you proceed. Last reviewed: What a quick quote isA quick quote is an indicative price for a business energy supply, produced from the details you give us and the prices suppliers are publishing at that moment. It is offered by Omni Management Ltd, trading as Omnium, company number 14666993, registered office 18 Albert Road, Bournemouth BH1 1BZ. A quick quote is not a contract and it is not an offer of supply. A supply contract exists only once a supplier has accepted your application and confirmed it in writing. The information a quote is based onPrices are calculated from the meter numbers, addresses, consumption figures, contract end dates and business details you provide, or from the data a supplier holds against your meters where you have given us authority to obtain it. If any of that information is incomplete, out of date or inaccurate, the quoted price can change once a supplier reviews it. Suppliers also apply their own credit assessment, and a price can be withdrawn or re-priced on that basis. How long a quote holdsWholesale energy prices move during the day. A quick quote holds only for the period stated on the quote itself, and where no period is stated it should be treated as indicative on the day it was produced. Prices for supplies starting further ahead are more likely to move before acceptance. The market we searchWe search the suppliers on our panel. We do not search every supplier in the market and we are not a price comparison service. We do not present a quote as the cheapest available. Price is one of the factors we weigh, alongside contract terms, billing arrangements, credit requirements and the supplier's service record. The full basis on which we act is set out in our third party intermediary disclosure. How we are paidWhere you take a contract arranged through us, the supplier pays us for arranging and managing it. That payment is included in the unit rate you are quoted, added to the supplier's own price per unit. It is not a separate charge added to your bill afterwards. The amount varies by supplier, product, contract length and consumption. We will tell you the rate applied to your own quote, in pence per unit and as a total across the contract term, on request and before you commit. Ask us at any point and we will confirm it in writing. Some services are instead charged to you as a management fee or a professional fee, which is quoted to you directly. Accepting a quoteAccepting a quote means we submit an application to the supplier on your behalf under a Letter of Authority. The supplier's own terms and conditions govern the supply, including any termination, cancellation and early exit provisions. Our appointment is governed by the Omnium terms and conditions, which include the position on breach fees and on a change of tenancy. Please read those terms before you accept a quote. Microbusiness customersIf your business meets Ofgem's microbusiness definition, you have additional protections under the supply licence conditions, including written information about the contract before you enter it and a set period in which to cancel a contract agreed away from your premises. We will tell you if we believe you fall within that definition, and the supplier will confirm the protections that apply. Your dataWe use the details you give us to produce the quote, to submit an application where you ask us to, and to manage the contract afterwards. We share them with the suppliers we approach for that purpose. Our privacy notice sets out how personal data is handled and the rights you hold over it. If something goes wrongIf you are unhappy with a quote or with the service around it, tell us and we will deal with it under our complaint handling procedure. If we cannot resolve it, the procedure sets out how to take the matter to the Energy Ombudsman. Governing lawThese terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. |
