Procurement
Rank on true cost.Show the commission.
How a tender runs
Five steps, in the same order every time, whether the account is one meter or two hundred.
Gather your data
We hold a Level 1 Letter of Authority, which lets us collect your supply data and advise on it. It does not let us sign anything.
Run the market
We approach the market for electricity, gas and water across single sites and multi-site estates.
Rank by true cost
Every offer is ranked by true cost rather than headline rate, and our own remuneration is stated with it.
Recommend in writing
The cheapest verified offer is always shown. Where we recommend something other than the cheapest, we say why in writing.
You sign
You sign every contract yourself. We then hold the renewal date so nothing rolls onto out-of-contract rates.
What is fixed and what is not
Network charges are regulated pass-through and reset each April. We do not tell you a supplier has fixed them unless we hold that supplier’s written confirmation for that product.
Fixed by the contract
What a supplier can hold
- The wholesale element of the unit rate, for the term of the product.
- Standing charges, where the product states them.
- Our margin on the final unit rate, where that is the agreed basis.
Pass-through
What resets each April
- Regulated network charges, which are set outside the supplier.
- Anything a supplier has not confirmed in writing as fixed for that product.
How we are paid
Margin or management fee
Either a margin on the final unit rate or a fixed management fee. Whichever applies is agreed in writing before you sign.
Nothing added afterwards
The basis agreed at the outset is the basis that runs for the term of the contract.
Level 1 authority only
We gather your data and advise on it. You sign every contract yourself.

How to check this
Each claim on this page is answered by something you can read for yourself. Nothing below states a figure; it names the document or register the claim is held against.
Point 01
We hold a Level 1 Letter of Authority only
The authority wording sets out what we may do with your data and states that we cannot sign a contract on your behalf. Read it before you sign it.
Point 02
How we are paid is agreed in writing before you sign
Our margin or management fee is stated in the terms that accompany a recommendation, and nothing is added afterwards.
Point 03
Every figure we quote carries a dated source document
Records state the figure, what it is measured against, the document it is taken from and the date on that document. Records still held anonymous are labelled as such.
Point 04
We separate regulated charges from the part a supplier can hold
Network and policy charges are set outside the supplier and reset each April for every supplier alike. We do not describe them as fixed unless we hold written confirmation for that product.
Point 05
We work to a published code of conduct
Our obligations as a third party intermediary, and what you can hold us to, are set out in full.
